Follow the adventures of two boys in ancient Egypt who saw it all. Walking sticks changing into snakes. Rivers turning to blood. Frogs and flies and grasshoppers. Storms made of fire and ice. Blood on the doorpost of every Hebrew home and the death of every firstborn in Egypt. Watch Pharaoh defy the living God and the price he pays for it.

Description

Pharaoh’s patience ended as he stood to his feet and glared at the two visitors. His eyes flashed in anger. “You come here with nothing to represent your God—not that it would make any difference! You have no gifts or royal papers, and you certainly have no respect for me, the great Pharaoh Amenhotep! If you did, you would never come to me making such demands!”

Meshach didn’t know it yet, but he had just stumbled upon the opening scene in a drama that would change his world forever.

The first plague attacked Osiris, the god of the Nile. The Nile River was the center of Egyptian life, but that river was now turned into blood. The second plague of frogs created big problems for the believers in Seqa, the frog-headed goddess. Meshach was amazed at it all! Things weren’t turning out too well for the pharaoh. He had definitely underestimated the power of Jehovah.

The eight plagues that followed would cause Meshach to question everything. But as each plague proved another of the Egyptians’ gods powerless, he began to see that Jehovah loved him and wanted him to be free. Meshach was learning so much from Moses, the deliverer of his people. And the more he learned, the more he wanted to share what he had learned with Seti, the young Egyptian who took such pleasure in making his life difficult.
